Directions from the Twinbrook Metro Station to Elena's Dance Studio . . . Either a five minute walk, or a short bus ride.
Exiting from the turnstiles, turn left and go outdoors. Turn right and walk past the bus shelters (5 or 6 of them). Keep walking, crossing two streets (the last one is Twinbrook Parkway), then walk down past the brown building on the corner. The entrance to the dance studio faces the back parking lot. Check the buses that happen to be waiting at the station, ready to leave, as three bus routes stop just outside the door of the studio. These are: Metro buses C4, J5, and Ride-On bus 10.
Parking at the studio: There are a limited number of spots with the dance studio's name, but the dentist slots should be open to us. Otherwise the Metro lot is free on the weekend. Keeping the studio on the left, drive gradually forward on Parklawn until it veers right into the entrance of the parking lot.
Hint about driving distances: The studio is about equal distance from the Beltway as was de Lounge. The difference is in the distance from the Georgia exit to the Wisconsin exit on the Beltway. With traffic flowing well, this amounts to about 6 or 7 minutes. (That is, 6 or 7 minutes more for those coming on the Beltway from the east, 6 or 7 minutes less for those coming from the west.)
About the Wisconsin Avenue Exit from the Beltway: The inner loop of the Beltway has a southbound exit onto Wisconsin Avenue but not a northbound exit. Drivers coming along the inner loop from, say Virginia, might wish to use Interstate 270 and get off at Montrose Road at Exit 4 and then travel east. Drivers using the southbound exit onto Wisconsin Avenue would subsequently need to make a U-turn before heading north toward Rockville.
